Khorasan Steel Complex Company (KSC.CO) is at the forefront of industrial endeavors in the east of the country. The steel giant has close to two decades of experience in production of light construction materials and crude steel under its belt. During this period Khorasan Steel Complex Company has been successful in local and international production and trade. The complex’s completion of the production cycle, all the way from pelletizing to the rollout of finished products at the Neishabour site, comes as Khorasan Steel Complex Company is about to enter a third decade of its operations. As a famous entity trusted by stakeholders as well as by local and foreign customers, Khorasan Steel Complex Company has generated remarkable social and economic capital, not just for itself, but for the vast province of Khorasan Razavi.
Thanks to the steely resolve of its expert workforce and committed suppliers, capable local producers and the valuable support lent by provincial and state officials, Khorasan Steel Complex Company presents a coherent pattern of sustainable development in its track record. This comes on top of the steel company’s development-oriented vision and its compliance with environmental regulations.
With the launch of a rolling plant in 2001, Khorasan Steel Complex Company took the first steps toward production and self-sufficiency. Subsequent launches of Steelmaking Plant No. 1, the Direct Reduction Unit, Steelmaking Plant No. 2 and the Pelletizing Plant broadened the prospects of the facility to boost production. With an annual production of 1.4 million tons of crude steel and more than 600,000 tons of finished products, the complex has built the foundation for larger production capacities in line with the country’s Steel Industry Outlook so that it could play a major role in the self-sufficiency and economic development of the Islamic homeland.
Khorasan Steel Complex Company, a jewel in the crown of development in the east, is now at the threshold of a very crucial step: completion of an iron ore concentrate plant as the last link in the steel production chain and connection of production lines to valuable iron ore reserves. The move gives Khorasan Steel Complex Company a competitive edge when it comes to sustainable production and claiming a bigger share in creation of added value using the country’s natural resources.
The capabilities of committed, devout, capable, and expert personnel together with the support lent by administrative entities, the development-driven approach by statesmen, and constant support by shareholders despite all technical and financial shortages and unfair sanctions have brightened the prospects of the journey ahead. They have also boosted the self-confidence and motivation of the personnel in becoming the first steelmaker in the country to have all the links in the production chain up and running in the province it is located in.
