Production Growth in KSC Continues Regardless of Sanctions

The CEO of Khorasan Steel Complex says the growth of production in the company continues faster than before regardless of U.S. sanctions.
Dr. Kasra Ghafoori said that with the round-the-clock efforts of his hard-working colleagues, in three regions, the production of the company has witnessed new monthly records in producing steel products.
He went on to say, “In November and in steel, direct reduction and pelletizing plants of the complex, we have witnessed the growth production of 1632 tons of ingot and 165 tons of sponge iron production and registration of monthly growth of 4654 tons of pelletizing comparing to the preceding months.
According to Dr. Ghafoori, growth in ingot production in the steel-making mill No.2 has led to achieve the record for total production of 103351 tons of ingot in November comparing to the previous record for production of crude steel which had been set last August with 101,817 tons.
The company has also produced 131,450 tons of sponge iron while direct reduction unit of the company had before registered record of producing 131,285 tons of sponge iron.
Dr. Ghafoori also pointed to the cruel sanctions against Iran, adding that Khorasan Steel Complex is now focused on indigenizing the manufacture of the parts and equipment, and optimizing consumptions with an eye on reducing the final cost of the products.
