Khorasan Steel Company receives national accolade for social responsibility, sustainable enterprise status

Khorasan Steel Complex Company (KSC.CO) was praised for its compliance with the principles of social responsibility and sustainable development of economic enterprises as part of the Third Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Award which was held in Talash Cultural and Sport Complex on January 13, 2020.
In the closing ceremony of the Third Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Award, which was attended by Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare Mohammad Shariatmadari and a host of social and economic players, the managing director of KSC.CO was awarded an accolade in honor of efforts by his company to undertake social responsibility and commit itself to fulfilling sustainable development at the same time as protecting environmental and territorial resources and assets.
When it comes to social responsibility, KSC.CO has implemented a wide range of plans over the course of the past several years and has adopted special approaches for the years to come. Since its launch, the company has taken extensive environmental and social measures in line with its social responsibility. As a producer, and more importantly as a key factor in bringing about social and economic development, the company has adopted an elevated approach toward pursuing various activities associated with its undertaking of social responsibility. Bringing into one collection all the measures the company has taken is impossible.
Sustainability is a significant concept as far as the company's social responsibility is concerned. By changing its attitude, the company – in the capacity of an economic enterprise – has tried to shift from achieving pure profitability to bringing about profits for all stakeholders, shareholders and society at large. In doing so, the company has built its foundation on the following principles: sustainability, accountability and transparency as far as economic, social and environmental issues are concerned.   
It should be noted that the Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Award is designed to promote the concept of corporate social responsibility among private and public enterprises and organizations and leave an equally important effect on prevention of environmental and social losses and on improving social welfare in society.
